searchfunctionality
The advanced search functionality allows job seekers to find the perfect role quickly and easily.
The functionality includes a location and radius filter, enabling users to narrow down results to jobs in their area.
It uses the browser's native Geolocation API to obtain the latitude & longitude of the user
It feeds the Geolocation data into MySQL's ST_Distance_Sphere() function to filter results to the radius defined by the user
It uses Google's Geocode API to translate the Geolocation data into an address that the user can see
Below is a recreation of the job search form, with a working location field.
Give it a try!
